Struggle for Hindu Existence

Britain needs to take inspiration from Hinduism: David Cameron

sam-cam-pa_2723124a (1)Kounteya Sinha |  TNN | London | May 5, 2015::  One of London’s most famous Hindu temples has been accorded the same status as two of Britain’s most iconic tourist draws – the Stonehenge and the Big Ben.

With just two days to go before Britain goes into polls, prime minister David Cameron is going all out to appease the Indian Hinducommunity in UK by saying that the Swaminarayan temple at Neasden is “a great British landmark” having the same stature as Stonehenge, the Angel of the North and Big Ben.

During one of his campaigning trips, Cameron who has travelled to India thrice after taking over office in 2010 promised to visit the Akshardham temple in Delhi if he returns to 10 Downing Street as prime minister for the second term.

Cameron also said that Britain needs to take inspiration from…

Indian Bureaucracy-The Insensitive Native Ruler

Indian Bureaucracy-The Insensitive Native Ruler

21st Century India can not succeed unless and until Red Tape, Nepotism and stronghold of Indian Bureaucracy is loosened & reformed. Native Indian Bureaucrats are actual rulers of India as they frame policies and implement as well. They tweak policies in connivance with Politicians to favour themselves, kith-kin and cronies. More than 90% NGOs are formed by them, family members and friends.

Public Funds meant for Welfare Schemes such as Alleviation of Poverty, Education for all, Health for all, Employment guarantee, Housing for poor, Safe drinking water and Sanitation, Irrigation Schemes and many more siphoned off by Bureaucrats in connivance with Politicians and their NGOs a well-known secret. This is a system which made deep inroads in our DNA. It has eaten away our roots like a termite. This blatant loot of Public Funds for Welfare Schemes gave birth to Crony Socialism. The Pseudo-Socialists literally made capitalism much abused word whereas socialists themselves thrived on Public Funds meant for Poor & Downtrodden. Unfortunately in public discourses, one finds innumerable discussions on Crony Capitalism but not once on Crony Socialism!

In the name of Socialism and being Welfare State for last Six Decades our Native Rulers(Bureaucracy & Politicians) made policies to suck our blood and cripple us forever. Perpetual misery, haplessness and complete absence of ethics from our Political, Judicial, Economical, Educational and Social system is direct outcome of Crony Socialism practiced and promoted by Native Ruling Class(Indian Bureaucracy+Politicians+Judiciary+Media+Petty Traders+NGOs).

Bureaucracy’s stronghold is so entrenched in the system that if one challenges it, gets booted out with humiliation, silenced into oblivion. To keep itself clean, bi-partisan and above law, the brown sahibs(Indian Bureaucracy) created a fall guy/blameguy in Politicians who are regularly caught, lynched for corruption and related ills; but hardly any bureaucrats. The moment a single bureaucrat is caught or notified, entire administrative, legal machinery come to standstill in protest. The brown sahibs hold the state to hostage and it has been almost impossible for any regime to challenge it or reform it. The adamance of native brown sahibs can be seen in revenue department which still believes in sucking common man’s blood for reasons best known to them. The revenue department justifies all sorts of taxation rather tax terrorism despite best efforts to bring in reforms by Elected representatives.

The lust for name, money, power & position takes some of them to the door of Political Parties, some gets into rights activism, some starts writing revelations & fancy books on Accidental Minister, Middle Class, Poverty, Human Suffering and also commenting on Poverty, Political System etc post retirement. Time has come to show mirror to & put in place these insensitive native rulers by bringing in administrative reforms.

J&K Assembly Elections, tricky & long process for coalition government formation followed by treacherous turn of events made truly patriotic citizens of Bharat i.e. India worried and anxious. People who sacrificed their near & dear ones for this nation are asking only One Question that is “Will Kashmir consume PM Modi too”? Following piece by Retired Colonel TejK who served in Kashmir reiterated similar anxiousness.

It would amount to sheer heresy if such a question were asked six months back, when the Modi wave had not ebbed and Kejriwal was far from staging an amazing comeback in Delhi; a place where he had been flattened only a few months back in the general elections. But as they say, a week is too long a period in politics. Today, despite his government’s many achievements in a short span of time, Modi looks vulnerable; no where so dangerously as in Kashmir.

Ever since partition, starting with the massacre of thousands of people belonging to the minority community of the State in Punchh, Rajouri, Kotli, Muzzafarabad, Nowshera, Mirpur and other places, Kashmir has been a graveyard of not just the militants and many soldiers on both sides of the Line of Control; it has also buried the reputations of many leaders on both sides of the benighted border. While some, like Nehru, had their envious reputations permanently dented, others went into political oblivion as a result of their flirtations with the beautiful Valley’s politics of conflict. Lal Bahadur Shastri, who marshalled his meagre resources admirably to offset Pakistan’s initial advantage in the 1965 conflict, too paid the price as a consequence. It is widely believed that the heart attack that claimed his life in Tashkent was triggered by his apprehension of facing adverse public opinion in India, for having returned to Pakistan the tactically vital Haji Pir Pass, as a result of the Tashkent Agreement. Even the formidable Indira Gandhi, despite scoring a famous victory over Pakistan in 1971 operations, did not come out with flying colours, when it became apparent that the wily Bhutto had outsmarted her at Shimla. The latter had succeeded in preventing her from leveraging that victory to gain anything substantial for India. Even a statesman like Vajpayee burnt his fingers by taking a goodwill bus ride to Lahore; a gesture which was reciprocated by the then Pakistani Army Chief, Gen Parvez Musharraf, with the occupation of Kargil heights.

On the Pakistani side, Gen Ayub Khan lost power as a consequence of his intervention in Kashmir in 1965. Though he was forced out three years later, the ill conceived ‘Operation Gibraltar’ launched by him to capture Kashmir by force, created such adverse conditions for him in Pakistan that he did not recover from these, and had to finally make way for Gen Yahaya Khan in 1968. The latter did no better. Gen Yahya Khan, who was at the helm in Pakistan during 1971 war, left in disgrace and was later imprisoned. Another dictator, Gen Musharraf, occupied Kargil heights in 1999, hoping that a surprise Army action, carried out secretly on the forbidding heights, would determine the permanent resolution of Kashmir dispute in favour of Pakistan. He failed to see beyond his nose, as the rest of the world was alarmed by the conflagration between the two heavily armed nuclear powers. After Kargil, Musharaff did succeed to a large extent in projecting his Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharief, as the villain of the peace. However, as time went by, and after Nawaz Sharief had been banished to Dubai, Musharaff’s bluff was called, slowly but surely. Pakistanis came to see him as the person solely responsible for his reckless decision to violate the cease fire agreement between the two antagonists. As truth gradually came out, Pakistanis learnt to their horror that the conflict had cost them numerous casualties, for which they had no gains to show. From thereon, his countdown began, till he had to finally go.

From whatever has happened in the last few weeks in J&K, it is quite clear that it is now the turn of Modi to pay the price. By entering into a coalition with Kashmir centric, Mufti – led Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), he has put his neck on the block. Among the mainstream politicians, Mufti is closest to the definition of a separatist. His party, PDP, is the product of the uprising witnessed in Kashmir in 1989-90, and enjoys open support of the separatists. In its nascent state, the militants openly canvassed to garner support for it in south Kashmir, during the previous State Assembly elections.

On all important issues, on which a big chasm exists between the central government and the State government, Mufti has, over the years, taken a stand that is far from reconciliatory; in fact it is confrontationist. The objective of his belligerent stand is to ingratiate himself with the separatists in the Valley. In his opinion, he could carve out a niche for himself in Kashmir only if he was able to make a dent in rural areas, where National Conference has a committed vote bank. Mufti knew all too well that in Kashmir, he could sway the masses away from the NC if he could raise the level of competitive Kashmiri aspirations, far above those of the former, and more in tune with the demands of the separatists. In 1989, he sensed an opportunity to fulfil his political ambitions, as the masses in Kashmir had turned against the National Conference. Ever since then, Mufti’s policies and programmes have been dictated by this requirement alone.

Mufti’s career graph is filled with actions that contributed greatly to the exodus of our community from Kashmir in 1989-90. To begin with, he took full advantage of the communal tension that gripped the State during the fag end of Gulam Mohammad Shah’s (Gul Shah) short tenure, when Jammu people resented the construction of a mosque within the secretariat premises at Jammu in 1986. The mayhem let loose against the Pandits in the Valley, particularly in south Kashmir, as a consequence, had Muft’s imprint all over. The villages of Wanpoh, Lokbhavan and Bijbehara were badly affected and all temples in the villages had either been razed to the ground or idols placed therein were desecrated. The houses of the minority community were heavily damaged. It was an open secret that Mufti Mohammad Syed, who grabbed the opportunity to make ingress into the National Conference’s rural base in Anantnag and adjoining districts, was largely seen as the man responsible for attacks on the KPs. Having been a Congressman all his life, Mufti Syed’s true intentions as a politician were not so well known at that time. But, with the passage of time, he came to be closely associated with actions that can simply be termed as anti-national, though he did succeed, to some extent, in camouflaging these in the garb of protecting Kashmiri identity; whatever that meant.

People’s Democratic Party that Mufti Syed formed subsequently has established a firm foot-hold in the Valley by espousing causes dear to the separatists and radical elements in Kashmir. Some of these are; insistence on opening the Srinagar-Muzzafarabad road; suggesting Kashmir have its own currency; keeping the State under dual control of India and Pakistan; allotting land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board and then making it an issue to rouse anti-Indian sentiment to garner separatist support for his party in the 2008 State Assembly elections; his formula of self rule as a solution for Kashmir dispute; declaring his intention to introduce a bill in the State Assembly to rename Ananantnag as Islamabad; introducing a separate currency for the State, etc. His daughter, Mehbooba Mufti, President of PDP, has taken on from where her father left. During a seminar in Kashmir a few years back, she displayed a map of the State which depicted parts of State’s territory under Pakistan and China. As if all this was not proof enough of Mufti’s separatist-centric political out-look, one of his MLAs Nizam-ud-din-Bhatt, moved a private member’s bill in the Jammu and Kashmir State Assembly,  seeking deletion  of sub-clause (b) of Section 147 of the State Constitution which “ bars legislation challenging Jammu and Kashmir’s status as an integral part of India”.

Therefore, whatever Mufti has done after coming back to power (in coalition with the BJP), should not come as a surprise to anyone. He has merely continued from where he had left. In the presence of the Prime Minister, he thanked Pakistan, Hurriyat and the militants for allowing free elections to take place in the State, by not resorting to violence. It was an uncalled for statement as the empirical evidence of violent incidents leading up to the recent State elections, does not support the assumption. Being a seasoned politician he knew what the truth was; but his statement was directed at the separatist lobby and their benefactors across the LoC and IB. His release of Masarat Alam, call for the return of the remains of Parliament attack accused Afzal Guru, directions on the prominent display of State Flag, etc., are very much in line with his political thought. Besides, he wanted to offset the ill effects of having collaborated with the BJP, whom Kashmiri Muslims see as a Hindu Nationalist Party.

On the other hand, BJP has been compelled to put Article 370 in cold storage. Similarly, removal of AFSPA; engaging Pakistan in talks; talking to Hurriyat separatists as a pre-condition for forming the coalition government, etc., have already dented the BJP’s nationalist image, carved out over many decades. Even in the distribution of ministerial berths and distribution of portfolios, BJP has got a raw deal. And it is only the beginning; BJP must expect more to come.

BJP knows this all too well. However, having been voted to power, first time ever (even though in coalition), it considers it to be its duty not to let down its core constituency; the people of Jammu region, who voted for them overwhelmingly.BJP is conscious of the fact that people from the Jammu region have voted it to power with the hope that BJP will do justice to the region that has not got its due, as the ruling dispensations till now, were all Kashmir-centric. With nearly the same number of seats as the PDP, BJP is driven by the desire to correct the long prevailing skewed ratio of distribution of funds, received from the centre, in favour of the Valley.

Mufti, on the other hand, has really nothing to lose. He sees the current political scenario as a win-win situation. If BJP continues to yield, Mufti will expand his constituency in the Valley and the former will lose its USP; its ultra nationalist image, with devastating effect on its future. If BJP resists Mufti’s separatist driven agenda, Mufti will present himself as a messiah of Kashmiris, who is willing to stand up to the Hindu Nationalist Party, for their ( Kashmiris’) sake. I feel that at some stage, Mufti will provoke Modi to withdraw support and then ‘Mufti the martyr’ will tell Kashmiris,” For your azmat (honour) I even gave up the chair.” Banking upon a sympathy wave that such a course of events is likely to generate, Mufti will then expect to reap rich dividends in the Valley, during the elections which will have to be announced, sooner or later. BJP, on the other hand, would have burnt its bridges with the people of Jammu, who elected them, because of collaborating with the known anti national. In the rest of the country, it would also have lost its USP, irrevocably. The end result…Mufti will come to power without any encumbrances; with a majority of his own.

It may, however, be said in Mufti’s favour that he is not the first mainstream politician to have acted thus. Right from Sheikh Abdullah’s days, the mainstream politicians have thrived on anti India politics and have exploited this sentiment in Kashmir, whenever it suited them.

This is a high-stakes game in which BJP has less to gain and lot to lose. More importantly, Modi, like many others before him, has made himself the latest bait to be sacrificed at the altar of Kashmir problem. For the sake of India’s future, which looks bright under NaMo, I wish I am proved wrong. END.

Anguished Cry of Ordinary Citizens

Anguished Cry of Ordinary Citizens-Letter to Times of India & Times Now Editor

This letter was written in the month of March,2014 before Regime Change in India as  many Ordinary, Simple, Honest, Tax-paying, Helpless Citizen like me of this great Nation(Bharat) felt hurt, pained and anguished by the State of Affairs.

Grew up reading Times of India but of late found content & standard deteriorated also found Times Group News Channel equally compromised on many account. As 4th Pillar of Democracy, Media is more powerful than any AAM ADMI…then why falter? We do not know why….what stops a self proclaimed Non-Partisan Group to call a SPADE a SPADE.

Requested, ToI & Newshour to have a serious debate on following issues but unfortunately 4th Pillar of Democracy failed to perform it’s duty.

1. UPA GOVT’s PLAN TO PASS DRACONIAN ANTI-MAJORITY BILL:Sonia’s Final Nail In The Hindus’ Coffin:Comments on Prevention of Communal and Targeted Violence Bill (PCTV)- IF THIS BILL IS PASSED HINDUS WILL BE TREATED AS CRIMINALS WORLD WIDE

KEY POINTS: A Hindu against whom any Muslim/Christian/minority make any Complaint shall be presumed in law to be guilty by Police & Courts till that Hindu proves his innocence (Sec70, 71 & 73).

An accused Hindu Shall have to be immediately arrested as all offences under this bill are non-bailable & cognizable (Sec 56).

This law can be invoked only by a minority against Hindus.

Accused Hindu shall not be informed who has complained against him (Sec 38) but police has to inform complainant progress of the case.

A minority is not required to give any evidence to support his complaints against Hindus (Sec 70, 71 & 72).

A Hindu refusing to do business with any minority shall be immediately arrested [Sec 3 (f) (i)]. Taking advantage of such anti – Hindu laws a minority can force a Hindu to sell /rent his property and even surrender his daughters to minorities.

A minority cannot be punished for making even false complaints/ statement against Hindus (Sec 40).

The PCTV Bill (56 pages) is based on presumption that all Hindus are criminalsand communal riots are always committed only by Hindus and never by minorities. This law can be invoked only against Hindus by minorities. Muslims, Christians called “the Group” in the bill (sec 3.e). If they commit violence and hate against Hindus they cannot be booked under this new law as they are exempt from it even though Hindus practice “Ahimsa Parmodharma” – non violence is the highest religion as preached by Budhha, Mahaveer and Gandhi.

Under the PCTV Bill a Hindu against whom a Muslim including a Bangaladeshi Muslim infiltrator, a jehadi terrorist Muslim or a Christian or any minority makes a complaint he shall be presumed ab initio to be guilty of crimes; that Hindu shall have to be arrested as all crimes under this Bill are cognizable and non-bailable [Clause 56 of may 2011 version];  that Hindu shall have to prove his innocence before a Court;  that the Muslim or Christian making complaint is not required to give any proof or evidence to support charge against that Hindu;  that Hindu shall not be informed as to who has made complaint against him [Section 38]; during the pendency of the case the court can attach property of the accused Hindu even before he is found guilty [Sec 80, 81]. After this bill is passed any donation for religious charity made by a Hindu industrialist will invite great penalty and legal action against him. It is worst than Nazi Germany.

If a minority woman complains of rape against a Hindu, he shall be arrested and he shall have to prove that charge against him is false and that Hindu will not know which woman has made complaint. But if a Hindu woman is raped by a minority male then she has to prove charge of rape against that Muslim etc and her identity shall be told to her rapist. (Ind. Exp. 12.1.12) Arun Jaitly, Mamta Banarjee, Jayalalita and Mayawati say that congress wants to establish its dictatorship through this bill.

Taking advantage of this bill a religious minority can force a Hindu to sell his property to him or rent his property to him; can force a Hindu to write off debts a minority owes to him. If a Hindu landlord evicts his Muslim tenant than he can be sent to jail by a false complaint of that tenant. If a Hindu factory owner suspends a Muslim employee for bad work he can be sent to jail by a false complaint of that employee in which no proof required. If a Muslim applies for a job the Hindu industrialist cannot refuse him. A minority can blackmail a Hindu industrialist and collect lacs of rupees from him. This bill will encourage Terrorist elements and pave the ground for Civil War in India. This is Anti-national, Anti-secular, Anti-Harmony, Anti- Democracy, Anti-Constitution, Anti-People and Anti Business. This bill is a violation of human rights of 95 crore Hindu hence we should appeal to the United Nations. Yet Mulayam Singh is supporting this will.

This Bill if enacted as a law shall give a legal weapon to every minority to send to jail for 10 years or more any Hindu. (Indian Express 12/1/12) The question arises why there is so much hatred against peace loving innocent Hindus. All this is because there is Muslim unity (Muslim Vote Bank) but No Hindu unity (Hindu Vote Bank). Congress should pass this bill because this bill will create permanent hatred between majority and minorities, damaging the future of minorities. Hindus always desire the prosperity of Muslims through mutual cooperation resulting in real peace and prosperity of the country hence majority and minority should unite to throw away the conspiracy of this anti national bill. Muslim who has renounced religious hatred and violence is our dear brother.

Many minority institutions including Jemait-e-Ulema Hind are forcing congress for passing this bill. Hence congress will pass this bill saliently to win 2014 election with Muslim votes. Gulam Navi Azad said that govt. is committed to pass this bill. Muslims are rising because they get unlimited fund, Hindus are shrinking because they don’t get any funds.

2.THE CONFUSED NATION THAT WE ARE.. Mostly repeat — but we forget to Act; — even Ponder/Think of a Solution — or share !!!

1. A policeman kills a leopard that is actually attacking a villager, and instead of being felicitated he is booked for the crime of saving a human being at the insistence of some Wildlife Organisations.

2. A nation where:

* Rice is Rs.40/- per kg and SIM Card is free.

* Where a pizza you have ordered reaches home faster than an ambulance or police, even if you were being murdered or having a heart attack!!!

3. A nation where:

* A car loan is charged at 5% but Education loan, so necessary for our youth is charged an interest of 12%.

4. A nation where:

* Students with 45% get into elite institutions through the quota system, and

* Those with 90% are sent away because of merit.

5. A nation where:

* A millionaire buys a cricket team, spending crores instead of donating the money to any charity.

6. A nation where:

* Two IPL teams were auctioned at 3300 crores,

* Yet we a poor country where millions don’t get two square meals per day.

7. A country where:

* Ordinary salary tax payer is punished/fined for error in paying little less in tax,

* But the IPL collecting thousands of crores has not paid any income tax  and no body has any issue about it.

8. A country where:

* Footwear is sold in AC showrooms,

* But the vegetables we eat, are sold on the footpath and very often next to garbage dumps.

9. Its a strange nation we live in:

* Where assembly complex buildings get ready within a year, while

* Public bridges, flyovers and sea links take several years even to get off the drawing board, and another decade to be completed.

* We have malls, and sky-rises, with slums forming their boundary wall.

10. A country where:

* Men and women squat on railway tracks, with no where else to go, while

* Watching them from windows, are couples (just ‘Two’) with three bathrooms and one for the guests.

11. A country where:

* Politicians who are supposed to serve the people accept money from the same people they are supposed to serve, and then

* Take a salary from the government for their services to these people.

12. We are a nation:

* Where we talk in hushed whispers about the corruption in the country and then

* Dig into our pockets to bribe a cop when we are caught cutting a red light.

13. A country:

* Where to get small service in Govt. needs a minimum qualification of graduation, but

* No qualification is required to run the same Govt. (get elected!).

14. A country:

Where our soldiers defending our borders, when jailed by neighbouring  countries, are tortured & not even provided proper food/ facilities, but the militants from across the borders when in our jails are served  biryani on demand.

Think about it & Why can’t we do something about it………..this includes all Judiciary, Executive, 4th Estate and all Citizens of this Great Nation. Let us all take a resolve and do our bit. The time has come to go above self and protect our Nation. We want all pillars of democracy to lead the country forward and free itself from CORRUPTION, SYCOPHANCY & MEDIOCRACY .

New World Order-Hindu Way

New World Order-Hindu Way!!!?!!!

Think Tanks, Intellectuals, Political Analysts all over world discussing about how to establish a semblance in the ever-changing world after failed endeavour of so called ‘Super Powers’. World cannot be managed the same old way based on Muscle Power, Ideology but one has to have a fresh look, rather deep philosophical look.

Am saddened by the quality and content of discourses in public sphere especially amongst Indian Intellectuals, Political Analysts, Think Tanks who refuses to acknowledge changing world order and eagerly promoting Donor-Driven Agendas of Western/Abrahamic Ideology! Am sharing excerpts from Henry Kissinger Book: World Order: Reflections on the character of Nations and the course of History
